Careplots has entered into a professional services agreement with NORC at the University of Chicago to support a portfolio of healthcare and federal data initiatives spanning All-Payer Claims Databases (APCDs), national commercial claims data, secure research data environments, data quality, analytics, and data platform operations. The agreement provides for Careplots leadership to assist NORC with project and client relationship management, data quality assessment, project operations, documentation and transition of data and technical assets, as well as business development, strategy, and platform initiatives.
A Broad Portfolio of Healthcare and Federal Data Programs.
The engagement gives Careplots the opportunity to contribute its healthcare data and informatics expertise across an extensive portfolio of NORC programs and clients, including:
1. Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA): Florida APCD / Florida Health Price Finder: support for Limited Data Set and healthcare cost outputs, APCD architecture and data quality, payer data submission, data request processes, and data-product strategy.
2. Health Care Cost Institute (HCCI): support for HCCI 2.0 architecture, data-quality processes, platform environment development, payer-data testing, derived-field business rules, and HCCI data operations.
3. Colorado Center for Improving Value in Health Care (CIVHC) Colorado APCD: support for ACG risk-adjustment processes, PCP attribution methodologies, SIM attribution, and associated data and analytical operations.
4. U.S. Department of Agriculture, Economic Research Service (USDA ERS): support for IRI data maintenance, capacity planning, and operations associated with the FoodAPS Data Enclave.
5. Maine Health Data Organization (MHDO) Maine APCD: support for data-enclave operations and infrastructure, data flows, and CompareMaine methodology enhancements.
6. U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC): support related to Enterprise Data Warehouse project delivery strategy.
Building on Deep Healthcare Data Experience.
The scope extends beyond day-to-day project support. Careplots will also assist NORC with solution frameworks and methodologies, data and process improvement plans, proposal strategy, demonstrations and presentations, and strategy and platform development. The engagement provides Careplots with an opportunity to apply its leadership team’s experience across some of the healthcare industry’s most important data environments—from state APCDs and national commercial claims repositories to federal research data programs.
The agreement marks an important early milestone for Careplots and establishes a foundation for the company’s work in healthcare data engineering, multi-payer data systems, data quality, secure research environments, analytics, and public-sector data modernization.
