Careplots, a leading technology and data analytics company, is expanding its partnership with NORC at the University of Chicago to support secure data hosting and management operations for multiple federal agencies. The Careplots data engineering team will take a central role in overseeing Data Operations for Data Enclave federal clients, furthering the federal government's Data Democratization initiatives in alignment with the US Federal Data Strategy.
Careplots will continue to collaborate with the Data Enclave Operations team to securely handle, host, process, standardize, and enrich incoming data, providing authorized researchers with access to restricted-use datasets. This encompasses crucial data sources like the USDA Agricultural Resource Management Survey (ARMS), the National Household Food Acquisition and Purchase Survey (FoodAPS), third-party Information Resources, Inc. (IRI) Scanner data, the EEOC’s EEO-1 data (Private Employers), EEO-3 data (Local or Referral Unions), EEO-4 data (State and Local Governments), EEO-5 data (Public School Districts), Enforcement and Litigation Statistics, or the BLS’ National Longitudinal Surveys (NLS).
The NORC Data Enclave platform encourages collaboration on research, data analyses, and data products, all conducted with de-identified microdata stored in a shared platform. By leveraging the Data Enclave platform, researchers and principal investigators can access micro-sensitive data in a secure and FISMA-compliant environment, enabling complex analyses and generating insights not feasible with public-use data. The platform's robust security infrastructure and restricted access controls safeguard the confidentiality and privacy of individuals and organizations represented in the data.
