September 30, 2025 – Careplots is pleased to announce its participation as a subcontractor in an award issued by the National Science Foundation America Datahub Consortium to Cormac Corp (Prime Awardee), in collaboration with the UCLA Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
This award is in response to NSF’s June 16, 2025 Request for Solutions (RFS), "Fraud in Public Healthcare Programs: Developing Fraud Detection Models with Linked Data". The project addresses long-standing challenges of data fragmentation across government agencies by standardizing and linking diverse federal, state, and private industry data sources. This approach will enable untested investigative methods and earlier detection of fraud patterns and vulnerabilities in federally funded healthcare programs. The proposed solution employs AI-driven technologies for data linkages, advanced statistical methods and machine learning algorithms for risk-scoring models to detect fraud within Medicare claims data.
As a partner in this initiative, Careplots will contribute expertise in CMS data analysis, federal and state data integration, statistical analysis and Machine Learning modeling to advance the development of fraud risk-scoring models and pilot technologies for enhanced fraud detection. In collaboration with Cormac Corp and UCLA, Careplots is dedicated to assisting the Department of Justice's Healthcare Fraud Unit, CMS Integrity Program, and other oversight agencies in promoting accountability and protecting healthcare resources, while advancing ADC’s National Secure Data Service (NSDS) vision of a government-wide shared data infrastructure that strengthens evidence building across federal programs.
